Died at Notre Dame, February 28, 1894 Family legend had Brother Gabriel as artist who decorated original college chapel. Visitors to CARA (1973) says chapel is preserved and favorite for alumni weddings. Immigration: Declaration of Intent, Dubuque, Iowa Book 1, 1934-1856 #1535 Smith, Bernard age 23 Arr.
