Patrick Meers was baptized in Kilmoremoy Roman Catholic Church on the 9th of November 1827, son of Owen and Ann Naughton. Owen Meyers was from the townland of Shanaghy in the Parish of Kilmoremoy (Ballina). There is no marriage record of Owen and Ann. Patrick was the only issue registered to them.
